First Day of School

Thumbs up ready to go.
Tanner was excited to be a big brother and show his little sister around.
Elwyn was so excited to start school that she almost forgot to hug her Mom goodbye.  We met her teacher yesterday she was very nice.  Four of the girls in her primary class are also in her kinder-garden class.  Mommy is excited to start school on the 22nd.  I don't know what we are going to do for two weeks though.  It is almost like having time off work.

Grandma Copping

Elwyn and Grandma Copping snuggling with Fluffy.

Elwyn and Tanner made this sign for when Grandma got off the plane.
Grandma reading everyone a bed time story.
Daniel doesn't like to be read to very much so it is very special that he sat with Grandma for a whole book.
Andy mother was able to come and see us for a few days.  Tanner and Elwyn both remembered her from when we see her on her blog.  Daniel was shy of course.  She bought the kids presents and school clothes and supplies.  We were just happy to be together and have the children get to know her better.  Daniel warmed up really quickly and all the kids had fun playing and singing with their Grandma.  Cute story:  We took Grandma to the airport and when she went to check in we stayed behind so we could see her off.  All the sudden Elwyn burst into tears.  Real tears.  I ask her what is wrong and she cries, "I didn't get a goodbye kiss!" I reassured her that Grandma was coming right back after she gets ticket and she stopped crying, but it was so cute.

My brother went on a mission to Russia.  We were all able to get him off the plane at the air port..  Tanner remembered him but Elwyn was a little shy.  We are so glad to have him back.

Elwyn's 5th Birthday

Elwyn getting a giant coloring book.  She didn't get a single toy, it was all school clothes....
But the kitten she got made up for no toys.
Baby Daniel playing pin the crown on the princess.
All the girls decorating crowns.
Elwyn playing pin the crown on the princess.
Baby Daniel loved the crown he made.
Elwyn with her very pink cake.
Above are all the girls that came.  The five older girls are my cousins that were in town.  In the far right corner is my sister RaeAnn with Daniel. Pictured in the left corner in the front is my friend Melinda's three daughters.  (We love You!) My cousins were all good sports making poster board crowns and playing pin the crown on the princess.  If you notice the pink skirts the little ones are wearing, I made those.  I got the fabric at a yard sale.  Isn't that fabulous. Below from left to right is My Aunts Charleen, Coleen, then Grandma Nelson.  Grandma Redford is in the middle in the rocking chair.  Then my Mom on the floor and my Dad next to her.  Baby Mason is playing on the floor. Thank you everyone that came and helped out.  It would not have as great of a party with out you.

Fireman, cowboy, super hero, baby

Need I say more?  I didn't dress him up like this.  He came out of Elwyn's room and started "riding" around the house.

Where's The Baby?

The other day I was looking for Baby Daniel and I went into my bathroom.  He was in the cabinet calling "wheres the baby"  each time I would say his name.  So I got down in front of the cabinet and said " Where's my baby?"  and he thrust the door open and yelled "Here I am!"  It was too funny.
 I like corn.

I can play the computer like Daddy.
Elwyn drew a picture on the etch a sketch and asked to put it on the blog.
Tanner has gotten really good at building with his legos.  This is a Star Wars ship he built.

Bangel Bracelet

It is so nice that Baby Daniel is old enough now that I can get out my beads with out constantly telling him "no no don't touch."  I made these bracelets out of seed beads and faceted rondelles.  Mom loved them so much that she ordered a few from me too.  You start with the peyote stitch to make the inside band.  Then you lace around the rondelles holding them in the center.
