New Sunday Clothes

Thank you to Grandma Copping for the suit.  It was a hand me down from Tanner so the shirt was too small in the neck so he wore a vest instead of a tie.
Thank you to Grandma Nelson for the shirt, tie, and sweater.  They are wonderful.
Thank you to Grandma for the dress.
What would we do without Grandmas!  We love you all.

Tanner is 7!

Daniel loves cupcakes.
I got two coupons for free cakes.  So Tanner got to pick out two cakes at Bashes.  He picked a Santa cake and a Frosty the Snowman cake.
Happy Birthday!
It was funny having 6 girls and only 3 boys.
Tanner wanted pizza and salad for his birthday.  How funny is that?  (The salad part).  he wanted to play hang man for the game so played hangman with all his favorite things.  We are so great full for everyone who came.

So Tired

This is what happens when the baby doesn't have a nap.  He falls asleep during family movie time.  Yes that is a popcorn ball made by my Grandma Redford.  The best popcorn balls ever.

YeeHa

Best friends.
Tanner loves to play with his brother.
That is Daniel's camera smile.

Santa

All the primary kids sang a little program.
Elwyn was very excited to see Santa.
Even Tanner was excited.
We had to peel Daniel away from Santa.  He wouldn't stop talking to him.
I want to sing too.  Plus I am the cutest boy ever.

We went to a ward Christmas party.  The kids did a little program with a little nativity scene.  They did something a little different this year.  Instead of a dinner they had a breakfast.  It went really well.  They had this marvelous buttermilk syrup.  I made it for my family this morning and everyone loved it.  Then the kids got to see Santa.  Daniel kept cutting in line to see him.  Then when he got to sit on his lap he wouldn't stop talking to him.  It was really fun.

Halloween 2011

Daniel as Spider Man
Tanner wanted to be a ghost so I cute a hole in a sheet and lined the opening with elastic.  I worked better than I thought it would.
A gram-cracker house Tanner made at school.
Elwyn wanted to be a fairy.  Here she is a blue fairy.
Here she is a pink fairy for school.
I drew butterflies on her face and put little flower clips in her braids.
These are the pumpkins we carved for Family Home Evening.  Elwyn's is on the left.  In the middle is Daniels, and on the right is Tanners.
We had so much fun trick or treating,  Andy took the night off so he came along on his crutches.  What a great Dad!  The children got a ridiculous amount of candy.  So much fun.

Pritty Curls

Fair 2011

At the fair this year there was this big parade through town.  I forgot my camera but Daniel loved the bands.  He would get up and dance when ever one went by.  He was mesmerized by the dancers too.  Elwyn and Tanner were very intent on gathering as must candy as they could.  We came home with so much, it was as if we had gone trick or treating.  Then at the fair we saw all the animals.  Putting your animals in the fair is really big out here in Thatcher.  There were turkeys, roosters, chickens, pigeons, goats, pigs, cows, sheep.  I cannot remember the rest.  We were looking at the pigs and most of them were asleep except one.  Daniel put his hand through the fence and the pig was snorting and licking his hand.  Then Daniel would snort back and laugh.  We were all laughing so hard.  It was the cutest thing you ever saw!  The we saw one of the bands perform and Daniel would get out and dance.  A few people snapped pictures of him he was so cute.  Tanner's and Elwyn's class projects were both chosen to be put on display.  Tanner had a Humpty Dumpty.  I am not sure what Elwyn's was.  There were entrances for everything from Legos to peoples collections to quilts and pies.  I did not know they allowed so many entries.  I think we will put some things in the fair next year.

First Day of School

Thumbs up ready to go.
Tanner was excited to be a big brother and show his little sister around.
Elwyn was so excited to start school that she almost forgot to hug her Mom goodbye.  We met her teacher yesterday she was very nice.  Four of the girls in her primary class are also in her kinder-garden class.  Mommy is excited to start school on the 22nd.  I don't know what we are going to do for two weeks though.  It is almost like having time off work.

Grandma Copping

Elwyn and Grandma Copping snuggling with Fluffy.

Elwyn and Tanner made this sign for when Grandma got off the plane.
Grandma reading everyone a bed time story.
Daniel doesn't like to be read to very much so it is very special that he sat with Grandma for a whole book.
Andy mother was able to come and see us for a few days.  Tanner and Elwyn both remembered her from when we see her on her blog.  Daniel was shy of course.  She bought the kids presents and school clothes and supplies.  We were just happy to be together and have the children get to know her better.  Daniel warmed up really quickly and all the kids had fun playing and singing with their Grandma.  Cute story:  We took Grandma to the airport and when she went to check in we stayed behind so we could see her off.  All the sudden Elwyn burst into tears.  Real tears.  I ask her what is wrong and she cries, "I didn't get a goodbye kiss!" I reassured her that Grandma was coming right back after she gets ticket and she stopped crying, but it was so cute.

Me hugging my brother.

Elwyn's 5th Birthday

Elwyn getting a giant coloring book.  She didn't get a single toy, it was all school clothes....
But the kitten she got made up for no toys.
Baby Daniel playing pin the crown on the princess.
All the girls decorating crowns.
Elwyn playing pin the crown on the princess.
Baby Daniel loved the crown he made.
Elwyn with her very pink cake.
Above are all the girls that came.  The five older girls are my cousins that were in town.  In the far right corner is my sister RaeAnn with Daniel. Pictured in the left corner in the front is my friend Melinda's three daughters.  (We love You!) My cousins were all good sports making poster board crowns and playing pin the crown on the princess.  If you notice the pink skirts the little ones are wearing, I made those.  I got the fabric at a yard sale.  Isn't that fabulous. Below from left to right is My Aunts Charleen, Coleen, then Grandma Nelson.  Grandma Redford is in the middle in the rocking chair.  Then my Mom on the floor and my Dad next to her.  Baby Mason is playing on the floor. Thank you everyone that came and helped out.  It would not have as great of a party with out you.
